we can't stop here
Things I've recently discovered I love:

1. Couscous. It is so fucking easy to make, and the flavored mixes that you can get in boxes at the grocery store are awesome. Mmm, five minute meal.

2. The "beaches" theme on Gmail. It looked unimpressive at first, and I didn't like that the star for marking emails is a starfish that doesn't really stand out all that much. But after using it, I was won over by the colors changing in accordance with the time of day. The little sunrises and sunsets make me happy. It also changes the entire color theme to match the background.

3. Airports. I realized I love airports. So many interesting people, so many possible places to go! It feels like you have endless possibilities at an airport, you just have to be brave enough, foolish enough, or rich enough.

I might have to do a hate post soon, but it will lack explanation because my hate has no reason.

1. I loooove couscous. I haven't had it in forever. *A*
2. There's a beach theme??? I am SO changing my Gmail to it.
3. Airports are awesome, I agree. They're like a secular version of the concept of crossroads-- that is, they're where worlds meet.

Yes, the wild mushroom couscous is epic. And, yeah, the beach theme changes a lot, I love it!

1. IMO, the mushroom one is best, and the pine-nut one is meh. The rest are tasty.

Oh, and I'm the opposite. I Hate airports, but love the shit out of flying. I mean, come on. It's fly. ing.

Yeah, but Sashas do not naturally fly, their ear canals are not built for changes in pressure.
Kirstens are more recently evolved from their flying ancestors and can handle the pressure fluctuations more easily.

I have discovered that if you go to Hartsfield and way out on the concourse long enough somebody you know will go by, even if it was somebody from years and years ago.

True. Also, I have run into the same two girls twice. I don't know them, but they look like girls I know. I ran into them at Chicago O'Hare and at the airport in Austin, TX. Three months apart! I tried to say hi, but they were not having it.

Hopefully I will learn to love airports. Some day.

Yeah, just go check out the stupid stuff they sell in the shops. Though Chicago's airport is one of the least interesting ones, shop-wise. But they've got cool transport shuttles for going between terminals.

The most horrible one I've been to so far is Newark. And I have to go there again in July. Eek!

#3 means you have not traveled enough. I traveled on business for many years. I don't mind flying but I hate airports and hate airline seating.

JFK= shit airport

Colorado = nice airport

I tend to fly 6-8 times a year. I really do like airports. Not so much the planes, but the airports are nice. Then again, I am easily amused by laughing at tacky gift shop crap.
Colorado only sucked because of the altitude and the fact that Frontier Airlines will fly you to Colorado before it flies you to your intended destination.

I used to love watching planes take off and land, endlessly. I still like airports, AFTER security checks, which I hate.

Yeah, on the trip to NY, TSA took my sunscreen. It wasn't expensive or anything, but it worked really well and I had forgotten to leave it on the ship when I left for the day.

TSA took mine on the way to NOLA for Phoenix Rising, and it's really hard to find that one, grrrrr.

The guy also seemed confused about my crown royal bag's contents until I gave him the hint of "lady products". Then his face turned red and he muttered "I know what they are!" and quickly put it back in my bag. Idiots.
I understand the purpose, but come on, if the person is extremely pale, I think sunscreen is not really all that suspicious.

bwahahahaha! So far, recently, we've had good luck, they are usually bemused as we travel halfway in costume.

I have metal in my ribcage, and before LUMOS, not having flown since 9/11, I was crapping it that I'd set off the detector. I did, and was really going to freak, but then we discovered it was a gum wrapper, and then I went through clear, phew.

Last time I was really sick and sort of wheezing, I was told that garlic was a good home cure. So I am now sick of the taste of garlic! Eating a clove will make you taste nothing but garlic for a week!

how can one possibly have too much garlic? The cure worked, though, didn't it?

First... great icon. Second, I think you're the only person in the world who actually LIKES airports. I can't wait to get out of them when I'm there!!!
